Andrew Beiter, M.D.

My Story

Dr. Andrew Beiter is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who joined Southtowns Eye Center in 2025.  He specializes in treating a variety of eye diseases including cataract, macular degeneration, dry eye, glaucoma, and eyelid disease. He graduated from Canisius University Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology, and went on to attend medical school at University at Buffalo. Following medical school, he did his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University where he treated a wide range of challenging pathology at the University and Veterans Administration Hospital.

 

During his education he did a variety of research, including in the areas of retinopathy of prematurity, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and corneal ulcers. Originally from Hamburg, he is an avid Bills and Sabres fan. He also enjoys golfing, gardening, cooking, and spending quality time with his wife and family. 

Clinical Interests

  • Refractive cataract surgery to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism

  • Medical and surgical management of glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery

  • Eyelid surgery
